BUILDING INDEPENDENCE IN NEURODIVERGENT YOUNG PEOPLE​

An interactive course, supporting parents and carers with strategies to help their children build confidence, communicate effectively and prepare for their future

Is your child struggling with communication, anxiety, or perfectionism?

​Join our expert-led course designed to support parents and carers in helping their neurodiverse children (aged 7-16) develop essential communication and independence skills for navigating the world with confidence.

Course Overview

Session 1: Understanding Your Unique Child

Explore simple strategies to help your neurodiverse child feel safe, heard, and understood.

 

Session 2: Communication in Challenging Situations

Understand your child’s emotional world and learn when, where, and how to respond calmly during meltdowns, shutdowns, and big feelings.

Session 3: School Community
Help your child build positive relationships with staff and peers.

 

Session 4: One-to-One Session – Preparing for Independence

Support your child to embrace who they are, explore their options, and prepare for the next stage of life—with positivity and practical steps. This session will be a one-to-one, so support can be tailored to your child.

Dates: Wednesdays – 12th November, 19th November, 26th November
Time: 8:00–8:50pm (plus optional Q&A until 9:10pm)
Location: Online (Zoom link provided after booking)
Spaces: Limited to 6 participants for personalised support
Resources: Sent out after each session
Price: £160
